PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip type light reverse-emitting element which is easy to handling, 1 while firmly resistant with respect to the surge of reverse voltage and static electricity, despite its miniature sige and very thin firm. SOLUTION: A chip type light-emitting element is composed of an insulation substrate 10, first and second terminal electrodes 1, 2 having respective one end parts provided oppositely making a specific gap on both end parts of the surface of the substrate 10, a light-emitting element chip 3 directly bonded to the first and the second terminal electrodes 1, 2 by a conductive adhesive as well as a protective element 5, so that the two electrodes of the element 5 are electrically and directly connected between the electrodes 1, 2. In such a constitution, the purpose of the protective element 5 is to protect the light- emitting element chip 3 at least with respect to reverse voltage thereof. |
