PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure both a ground system cellular communication system and a mobile satellite communication system with a simple and small sized device and to attain the mobile satellite communication even in a gray zone for the ground system cellular communication system. SOLUTION: A mobile communication equipment 10 conducts ground system cellular communication in a service area 4 for ground system cellular communication and conducts a mobile satellite communication at the outside of the service area 4 and selects automatically the mobile satellite communication in a gray zone 5. Furthermore, in the gray zone 5, the mobile communication equipment 10 sends a 1st call request signal to a base station 3 of the ground system cellular communication and sends a 2nd call request signal of a base station 2 of the mobile radio communication automatically when no 1st call reply signal is received from the base station 3 of the ground system cellular communication after the lapse of a prescribed time after the transmission and starts communication with the base station 2 of the mobile satellite communication after the reception of the 2nd call reply signal from the base station 2 of the mobile body satellite communication.
