A clamp for the strap (1), whose ends are in the form of two S-shaped profiles, consists of two curved sections (13,14) each provided with a groove (17) in which engages the curved sections. An edge (19) of each of these sections engages beneath the bottom curve of the S-shaped section to clamp up the strap by the screwing up of the bolt (15). The whole is guided by a U-shaped iron strip (3). A seal (4) is provided between the surface of the conduit (24) and the iron strip to provide adequate sealing when the unit is clamped up. A lifting or suspension eye (7) can also be provided.
