<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device which ensures a necessary color reproduction range without the occurrence of unnecessary spectroscopy spectrum and realizes the improvement of image quality due to excellent color reproduction. SOLUTION: After in an image processing section 2, a color space converting section 11 converts an inputted image signal into a color space used for internal processing, the above signal is converted into an output image signal to every color toner in a color conversion section 14. In this case, an output image signal corresponding to an added toner in response to the color characteristic of an inputted image signal is also produced according to a parameter from a color conversion characteristic setting section 13. An image forming section 3 forms an output image on the image signal having been corrected in a tonal characteristic correction section 15 by using a plurality of toners used for forming an ordinary color image and besides an added toner to vary the color characteristic. A part inferior in color developing ability is made to develop the color using an added toner to enlarge a color reproduction range. In the other part, the occurrence of unnecessary spectroscopy spectrum is prevented without using the added toner.</p> |
