PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of absorbing vibration energy by a layer thickness control member, and restraining vibration on the layer thickness control member to obtain a uniform toner layer thereby forming a good image. SOLUTION: In this developing device having a toner carrier 1 moving toner 2 to a developing position, the layer thickness control means 5 whose surface of a leading end part or the vicinity of the leading end part is brought into contact with the carrier 1 and which forms the toner layer having a specified layer thickness on the carrier 1, and a supplying means supplying one-component toner to the carrier 1; at least one part of the means 5 or the entire means 5 is constituted of a (damping effect) member absorbing the vibration energy. The member 5 absorbs the vibration energy, the vibration of the member 5 can be restrained, and the uniform toner layer can be obtained, so that the good image can be formed. The member 5 can be constituted by combining a member (forming member) for forming the toner layer with a member (damping member) for absorbing the vibration energy. |
