PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide superior electrolytic etching property and improve the electrostatic capacity. SOLUTION: This aluminum foil is made so as to have a dislocation density such that the difference (ρN-ρAN) of specific resistance (ρN,ρAN) of the aluminum foil before and after heating, in heating a high-purity aluminum foil at 350 deg.C for 300 seconds, falls within a range of 0.205 to 0.260 nΩm. Also, as a method for manufacturing this aluminum foil, in manufacturing a foil by cold rolling of an aluminum plate, heating at 70 to 170 deg.C is carried out between the passes of cold rolling. After this heating, cold rolling for introducing dislocation to the aluminum foil is carried out.
