PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor for measuring cholesterol quickly by suppressing the effect of a surfactant for enhancing the catalytic activity of hydolase for cholesterol ester onto the electrode system. SOLUTION: The sensor comprises a coating layer for an electrode system including a measuring electrode 4 and a counter electrode 5 formed on an insulating substrate 1, and a reactive reagent layer arranged on the electrode coating layer or thereabout. The reactive reagent layer comprises a catalytic enzyme for oxidative reaction of cholesterol, a hydolase for cholesterol ester, and a surfactant while the electrode coating layer comprises a water soluble cellulose derivative and/or sugar and imparts a sample liquid with tackiness sufficient for suppressing permeation of the surfactant into the electrode system. |
