PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate an octave specifying key switch without affecting others. SOLUTION: An octave specifying switch 17 is provided on the back surface of a main body section 1. The switch 17 consists of four key switches 17-2 to 17-5 which are divided into two groups, two switches in each, and are placed in the periphery of a circular shaped thumb rest 17-1. The switches 17-2 and 17-3 are used for octave shift up and the switches 17-4 and 17-5 are used for octave shift down. The switches 17-2 to 17-5 are operated by rotating them slightly by the thumb which is abutted against the rest 17-1 without sliding. Thus, the operation of a high tone specifying key switch is not affected. |
