摘要 |
<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a storage switchboard in which high through-put and low delay information transfer independent of any protocol can be attained. SOLUTION: This is a storage switchboard network constituted by connecting storage switchboards in plural stages equipped with a processing (routing processing) part 14 for processing a connectionless layer 3 function and with an ATM(asynchronous transfer mode) switch 11, wherein traffic is always monitored by a traffic managing part 15 for each combination of the storage switchboards at the front stage and the rear stage of a repeater switchboard, and a path by-passing a layer 2 processing part and a layer 3 processing part for the traffic fulfilling the activation condition of a layer 3 traffic (an arrow B) is set. On the other hand, when traffic on the by-pass path fulfills a releasing condition, the link of the by-pass path is released, and routing is operated by the layer 3 processing part 14.</p> |
