PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy workability, optical characteristics and that resistance by using polyamide essentially contg. specified repeating structural units or its copolymer as an optical core and/or an optical clad. SOLUTION: Polyamide essentially contg. repeating structural units represented by formula I or its copolymer is used as an optical core and/or an optical clad. In the formula I, A is a divalent group represented by formula II and R is a divalent group represented by formula III, etc. In the formula II, X is F or 1-3C fluoroalkyl, Xs many be different from each other, (n) is an integer of 1-4 and (i) is an integer of 0-3. In the formula III, W is halogen, 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C alkoxy, haloalkyl or haloalkoxy, Ws may be different from each other and (q) is an integer of 0-4. |
