PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide device provided with a correctly adjusted specific refractive index difference. SOLUTION: In this optical waveguide, clad glass layers 2d, 2u constituting clad are formed on a substrate 3 and plural lines of cores 1a, 1b whose refractive indexes are higher than that of the clads are embedded in the clad glass layers 2d, 2u and the optical waveguide has at least one input port and one output port. In this case, the phase of a light propergating in between the core and the clad is adjusted by changing the refractive index of the core or the clad while irradiating at least one line of the core 1a or the peripheral clad of the core 1a with X-rays. |
