PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit use of a spring for prevention of rattling in the axial direction and eliminate necessity for any shim at manufacturing. SOLUTION: A plunger 22 and shaft 24 in a consolidated construction are inserted in a sleeve 21, and a core 3 is fitted by pressure into the sleeve 21 while that portion of shaft 24 which is free from fixation of the plunger 22 is inserted in a through hole furnished in the core 3. The pressure fitting at this time of the core 3 into the sleeve 21 is made so that the air gap ag between the plunger 22 and core 3 becomes smaller than the predetermined reference distance. The air gap ag is measured by moving the shaft 24 in the axial direction, and the difference from the reference distance is determined. The shaft 24 is pushed in the direction of arrowβto generate a movement corresponding to the obtained difference, and the tip of the sleeve 21 is deformed plastically by the tip of the shaft 24, and the air gap ag between the plunger 22 and core 3 is made identical to the reference distance.
