<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the clogging or damage of a tape by eliminating that the tape is abutted on a notched part around a head, the lower end of the rotating outer peripheral part of an upper rotary cylinder and the upper end of the lower fixed cylinder. SOLUTION: The upper end part 5a of the rotary magnetic recording/ reproducing head is set to the side of the lower fixed cylinder 3 than the lower end 12 of the rotating outer peripheral part of the upper rotary cylinder, and the space between the lower end 12 of the rotating outer peripheral part of the upper rotary cylinder and the upper end 13 of the lower fixed cylinder is adequately set. Thus, the cylinder unit for magnetic recording/reproducing operation, in which the magnetic tape 6 is not brought into contact with the notched part 10, the lower end 12 of rotating outer peripheral part of the upper rotary cylinder and the upper end 13 of lower fixed cylinder, is obtained, since the tape winding inlet side 10b and the tape winding outlet side 10c of the notched part are not in existence on the same circumference of the upper rotary cylinder 1 provided with the rotary magnetic recording/reproducing head 5.</p> |
