<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a damping force to a ball so that the ball can be used suitably to medical equipment, etc., requiring the damping of the ball by connecting a resistor to a motor connected to each rotary shaft and adjusting the damping by the motor. SOLUTION: A case 3 contains the ball 2 in a freely rotatable state and is provided rotatably with an X rotary shaft 4 and a Y rotary shaft 5 which interlock in contact with the ball 2. Detectors 6 and 8 and motors 7 and 9 are connected to the X and Y rotary shafts 4 and 5. Then variable resistors 10 and 11 for damping the ball 2 are provided on the output sides of the motors 7 and 9 and are freely variable between high resistance and low resistance with a damping knob 12. When the ball 2 is rotated slowly, the damping knob 12 is set to the high side and voltages are induced by the motors 7 and 9, but the output-side variable resistors 10 and 11 have low resistance, so a damping force is generated.</p> |
