<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exclusive control system and method that can efficiently perform an exclusive control of use of a peripheral device without increasing hardware and a record medium for recording a program for executing the program. SOLUTION: Device condition management tables 1c and 2c store whether the first node 1 and the second node 2 use a cross call magnetic tape device 4. When a process 1e requests a use of the cross call magnetic tape device 4, it is examined whether the second node 2 uses the cross call magnetic tape device 4 by referring to the device condition management table 1c. When the second node 2 does not use the cross call magnetic tape device 4, the device condition management tables 1c and 2c are made to store the use of the cross call magnetic tape device 4 by the first node 1. When the second node 2 uses the cross call magnetic tape device 4 and there is an abnormality between the first node 1 and the second node 2, the first node 1 uses the cross call magnetic tape device 4.</p> |
