PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely protect and reinforce a connection part without generating bending force in a coated optical fiber. SOLUTION: A tension body 4 is preliminarily arranged in an outer tube 5 consisting of a heat-shrinkable resin along the longitudinal direction of the tube 5 and one part of the tube 5 at the intermediate part of the tension body 4 is heat-shrinked to hold the body 4 to the tube 5 with thrinked part as a holding part 11. Then the connection part of coated optical fiber 2 in which the inner tube 3 consisting of hot-melt resin is preliminarily provided is inserted and arranged in the outer tube 5, and the inner tube 3 is melted by heating to heat-shrink the outer tube 5.
