摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the diameter of a bobbin and eliminate the necessity of winding a tape, by locating a resin-made bobbin for housing a field coil in an insulated state in a space formed by an end face at one side of an iron core and the external surface of a plate. SOLUTION: In a bobbin device of a field coil for a brushless alternator, an iron core 13 has no thin section as seen in the conventional one and the end of a plate 14 is abutted against the iron core 13 and projection-welded, and therefore the outer diameter of a cylindrical section 14a of the plate 14 can be made smaller than in the conventional one. As a result, the outer diameter of a cylindrical section 15a of a bobbin 15 located on an outer face of the plate 14 can also be reduced and the winding diameter of a field coil 2 wound around the bobbin 15 can be reduced, thereby cutting down a quantity of a copper wire for the field coil 2. Furthermore, there is no hole in the bobbin 15 to allow an electrode for spot welding to pass through and therefore it is not necessary to wind a tape. Therefore, the number of components can be reduced and the number of assembling processes can also be reduced.
