摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite communication equipment capable of preventing an interruption of communication and of surely performing communication even of a large data amount. SOLUTION: A navigation ECU3 functions as a communication control part of satellite communication. Before reception of map data, data for indicating the area of good communication state around a present position are obtained by using a ground communication circuit 7. A place suitable for stopping a vehicle inside the good communication area is selected as a communication candidate place. For instance, a signal device installed place is selected. By using a display 15 and a speaker 17, the communication candidate place is reported to a crew. When the crew brings the vehicle to the communication candidate place and stops it, the data communication is performed. Even when a data amount to be communicated is large, the good communication state is maintained for a sufficiently long time. It is appropriate to guide a route to the communication candidate place as well.
