PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct variance in luminance that the whole light and shade image has even in such a case by setting the color pattern of an output image according to differences between luminance values of respective parts of the light and shade image and the representative value of its luminance and luminance values at corresponding positions of a color pattern image. SOLUTION: A raw material information input means 119 inputs a color pattern image of a raw material, its glossiness, and the power of the color pattern image through a keyboard 102 and a mouse 103. A raw material color pattern setting means 115 carries out calculation for simulating the light and shade and a feeling of glossiness by mapping the color pattern image of one raw material by making use of the light and shade image corresponding to a body image to generate a color pattern setting image having the raw material color patterns of parts areas set in another raw material pattern. In this case, the color pattern of the output image is set according to the differences between the luminance values at the respective parts of the light and shade image and the representative value of the luminance of the light and shade image and the luminance values at the corresponding positions of the color pattern image. |
