The pleated side wall (4) of the pot is articulated to its base (2) by a thin hinged zone (6) which tends to open it outwards once the lid (10) is removed. The lid (10) has a rim (16) which covers the upper edge of the side wall when the pot is closed, and contains an inner seal made from a material compatible with the food product contained in the pot. The number of pleats (12) round the pot's side wall is between 100 and 160 and preferably between 120 and 140, and the side wall and base are injection-moulded or thermoformed in one piece.
