PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a question understanding support method and device that gives only a little load on a questioner and can sufficiently extract information which a solver expects from the questioner. SOLUTION: An interview item storage part 21 stores in advance in a card format each of plural interview items which a solver hopes to obtain from a questioner in order to understand a question and a norm of conduct storage part 22 stores order of priority of the interview items. In this case, information from the questioner corresponding to the interview items of a card selected from the interview item storage part 21 is stored in a question contents temporary storage part 3, a degree of understanding of question judgement part 23 judges whether the degree of understanding of the questioner is sufficient or not and, when it is not sufficient, the interview item is repeatedly presented to the questioner in accordance with the degree of precedence.
