PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having strong impact resistance, in which no inside short-circuiting occurs due to an impact such as vibration or a drop, or no lead terminal is detached from a positive or negative electrode. SOLUTION: A positive electrode and a negative electrode are wound around a cylindrical coil core 9 via a separator, thereby constituting an electrode group 10. Both ends of the cylindrical coil core 9 are fitted into grooves 17 respectively formed at a positive electrode sealing plate 13 and a negative electrode sealing plate 14 fixed to a metal case 15 via insulating gaskets 16, so that the cylindrical coil core 9 is secured to the positive electrode sealing plate 13 and the negative electrode sealing plate 14.
