<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly cut the neck tube of a cathode-ray tube with a simple device structure by heating the neck tube part to be cut with a heating device, holding the cathode-ray tube statically, and cooling, it and cutting the part by a cutting tool. SOLUTION: When a cathode-ray tube 1 is placed on a pallet 3 and carried in and temporarily stopped just above a cutting work position, it is set from a waiting position to a chucking position through a cathode-ray tube holding device 11, and a neck tube 2 is stopped and held at a set position. A cathode-ray tube kind detecting sensor 72 judges the kind, a control device 71 confirms the heating cutting level of the part 2A to be cut of the neck tube to be cut. The burners 40A, 40B of a heating device 31 heat the part 2A for a prescribed time, and the part A is naturally cooled for a prescribed time in the atmosphere. Thereafter, the cutter 62 of a cutting device 51 is pressed to a circumferential part of the part 2A to form a fine slit, and the part 2A is cut with this position as a cutting starting point.</p> |
