PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering system which operates at a high data rate without using extra memories and does not deteriorate the resolution of images during filtering. SOLUTION: An input digital signal IN containing data samples Yi and Yi+1 [(i) is an integer such as 0 or 1] is supplied to a multiplexer 205 and demultiplexed to Yi and Yi+1, the former is supplied to filters 210 and 220, the latter is supplied to a filter 215 and a delay element 225 and the delay element 225 delays the data sample Yi+1 by two highspeed sampling times and is then supplies to a filter 230. Four filters respectively generate data samples Z1-Z4. The data samples (Z1, Z2) and (Z3, Z4) are respectively added by adders 235 and 240, data samples Xm+1 and Xm [(m) is an even number such as 0 or 2) are generated, inputted to a multiplexer 250 and alternately selected and a filtered digital signal OUT is generated. |
