A packed food pasteurizing device which has a high frequency wave generator (71) which applies high frequency waves to a packed food (P) to pasteurize the packed food (P) by induction heating. The device further has a food loading vessel (2x) which has facing electrodes (20) comprising a lower electrode (210) and an upper electrode (220) between which high frequency waves are applied and an annular insulator (23) provided between the facing electrodes (20). The food loading vessel (2x) further has at least one food loading chamber (21) in which the packed food (P) is loaded and, further, has an internal shape generally conforming to the outside shape of the packed food (P).
