The present invention relates to a protection structure for a book. It includes a front cover panel, a back cover panel and a joint portion for connecting the two panels. There are flaps extending from the three free edges of the said panels, with a plurality of parallel equidistant longitudinally extended fold lines arranged on the surface of the flaps. The said flaps can be folded and inserted inbetween the pages of the book, acting as bookmarks, as well as protect the book edges from turning yellow and getting dusty.
