Method and apparatus for producing cups

A mold (1, 2) consisting of two parts and forming a hollow space (4) with a slip inlet (5) for the cup handle is closed. A cup body (8) is placed on the mold so that it rests on the open ends of the space (4). The cup body is clamped against the mold, after which slip is pressed into the space (4) to form the handle and join it to the cup body. Compressed air is introduced into the mold to free the handle from the mould. The mold is opened to remove the cup.
