<p>When a call out is made by a destination communication device (11), an access server (15) on the calling side generates a call packet, which is sent through the Internet (16) to an access server (15) on the called side. Another access server (15) on the called side sends out a calling signal to the destination communication device (11). When the destination communication device (11) responds, the access server (15) on the called side generates a response packet and sends it through the Internet (16) to the access server (15) on the calling side. At this point the access server (15) on the calling side starts accounting. The access server (15) on the calling side sends a response signal to the calling communication device to allow communication. Thereafter, message packets are exchanged through the Internet (16). When the termination of the communication is detected by either of the access servers (15), a termination packet is generated to terminate the call.</p> |
