The aim is to improve information transmission and reception characteristics by significantly increasing the bandwidth of the transmitted signal. To that end, an auto-correlation processing method is applied, i.e. a reference signal for transmission, which is formed and emitted in the transmitter at the same time as an information signal which has been modulated with the message signal to be transmitted, is used in the receiver for correlation processing. A novelty of the proposed process is the use as the carrier signal of a wide-band signal whose spectrum width can approach the minimum frequency of that spectrum, while the information and reference signals based on the carrier signal have a defined relative difference either in terms of overlap of time or frequency or both, they are not separated by time or frequency, the auto-correlation processing being carried out on reception without preliminary separation of the two transmitted signals. |
