<p>There is disclosed a composition for removing long chain compounds, which are substantially insoluble in water, the use of the composition in such removal and methods of cleaning. The composition comprises an inert gel matrix within which is entrained a solvent which is capable of dissolving the material of interest. Examples of materials to which application of this composition is suitable include bitumen, tar, wax and chewing gum.</p> |
