1. Method of producing 3-pentenic acid esters by carbonilation of alkoxybutenes in the presence of a catalyst and a solvent at high temperature and pressure wherein at least C1-C10 alkoxybutene, in which the alkoxy group is in the allyl position relative to the double bond, is converted with carbon monoxide at a temperature in the 60-140 degree C range and a carbon monoxide partial pressure in the 3-30 MPa range, in the presence of a palladium-based catalyst. 2. Method of Claim 1, wherein a mixture of trans-1-metoxy-1-butene and cis-1-methoxy-2-butene is used. 3. Method of Claim 1, wherein a mixture of 3-methoxy-1-butene, trans-1-methoxy-2-butene and cis-1-methoxy-2-butene is used. 4. Method of any of the preceding Claim, wherein the carbonilation is performed in the presence of admixtures, selected from the group, comprising chlorides, acids, nitrogen and phosphorus-containing ligands with molar ratio to the catalyst, being from 0.1 to 10. |
