The appts. (1) for printing textile fabrics (10) has a printing head (6) which is moved up and down at intervals with a control (8) to determine the application of a given vol. of dyestuff when pressed against the fabric (10). The vol. of liquid dye delivered is not dependent on the duration of contact between the printing head and the fabric.
