The invention relates to a method for preparing polyether polyols by reacting polyols with epoxides in the presence of basic catalysts. The method comprises the following steps: the polyether polyols, which contain basic catalysts, are treated with OH-functional solid compounds of metals from the III to VIII groups of the periodic table of the elements (Mendeleev), which are insoluble in the polyether polyols and have BET-surfaces of 10-1000m2/g. The solid inorganic compounds, loaded with the basic catalysts, are isolated from the polyether polyol and are introduced into the reaction of the polyols with the epoxides; conversely, the isolated inorganic compounds, which are loaded with the basic catalysts, are brought into contact with the polyols which are to be introduced into the reaction with the epoxides. The polyols are then separated from the inorganic compounds and introduced into the reaction with the epoxides. |
