Writing surface giving permanent record but easily erasable

An arrangement for preparing written notes or drawings which can be altered and stored has a flat writing area (A) with a smooth, water repellant surface where the wetting angle of a water droplet is greater than 60 deg . It is used with a crayon of water and wipe-resistant material and a rubber which can remove surface marks without damage.
