Water flow generation unit especially for swimming pool

The water flow generation unit includes a frequency converter to adjust working frequency for the circulating pump (24) drive that circulates water to outlet in pool. The unit includes a circulating pump which is designed preferably as a centrifugal or cell-wheel pump driven at a speed-determining working frequency, communicating with the pool water (30) on the suction side and opening out on the pressure side into the swimming pool via an outlet (32) designed preferably as a nozzle. An adjustment arrangement is provided to adjust the water flow emerging from the outlet. The adjustment arrangement has a frequency converter (38) to control the drive for the pump with a variable working frequency. The water flow can be adjusted via a current or voltage value standing at a control input (45,46) of the frequency converter.
