PURPOSE:To produce an oxide magnetic material containing magnetite mixed with a non-magnetic phase and easily and safely produce a large amount of powdery oxide magnetic material having desired saturation magnetization at a low cost by mixing Mg and Mn to hematite, hematite + magnetite or magnetite, mixing the obtained mixture with a substance having carbon-carbon single bond or double bond and baking the mixture. CONSTITUTION:This oxide magnetic material composed of powder containing magnetite and a non-magnetic phase in mixed state is obtained by mixing 0.1-4.0wt.% of a liquid substance or powdery substance containing C-C or C=C in the molecule to a powdery mixture produced by mixing 0.20-18.50wt.% of Mg to hematite or hematite + magnetite or to a powdery mixture produced by mixing 0.20-26.20wt.% of Mg to magnetite and baking the obtained mixture in an inert gas at 550-1500 deg.C. |
