PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an apparatus suitable for functional training of lower limbs by arranging a pair of right and left levers extending almost diametrically from both end parts of a rotating shaft, pedals provided at the tip parts of the levers, a holder for holding feet of a user on the pedals and a motor to rotatively drive the rotating shaft. SOLUTION: When conducting a functional training of lower limbs, a user 23 sits on a seat part 44 of a chair 3 and fixes feet with belts 21 on pedals 18 and lower thighs with fixing belts 25 on lower thighs fixing members 24. Then, when an electric motor 27 is operated, with the rotation of a rotating shaft 16, the pedals 18 start a rotary motion to half-forcibly move the feet held on the pedals 18. Varying the rotational speed of the electric motor 27 enables the adjusting of a moving speed of the pedals 18 to match physical condition of the user 23. In addition, the electric motor 27 can rotate normally or oppositely to allow the altering of the direction of the rotation of the rotating shaft 16. The operation as mentioned above and the starting, stopping or the like of the electric motor 27 are accomplished by a switch on hand or the like. |
