PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal catalyst carrier used for a catalytic converter to purify an exhaust gas exhausted from an engine of a vehicle such as an automobile, and to provide such a carrier that an exhaust gas can be surely purified without decreasing the exhaustion efficiency and that the durability is largely improved than a conventional carrier. SOLUTION: The carrier is equipped with a honeycomb body 13 and an outer cylinder 11 made of a metal material which houses the honeycomb body 13. The honeycomb body 13 has a multilayered structure of alternately laminated flat sheets 15 and corrugated sheets 17 each comprising a metal material in such a manner that plural cells 19 are formed in the axial direction. In the honeycomb body 13, flow rate controlling layers 13a having plural holes 15a, 17a are formed on the flat sheets 15 and corrugated sheets 17. |
