PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden building which does not require complicated machining of columns and beams, can bear large stresses, and is low in cost. SOLUTION: In a joint structure of a column 1 and a beam 8 joined to the column, the column has mutually perpendicular rectangular through holes 2, 3, and the joint structure has a center portion inserted into the through holes 2, 3, a mounting bolt 4 formed at one end of the center portion, and brackets 5, one of which is coupled to the bolt 4 and the other to a horizontal member; the areas of the center portion of the mounting bolt 4 which abut to the through holes 2, 3 are formed into planar shapes. Also, a method for joining the column 1 with the beam 8 involves placing at the through holes 2, 3 a rectangular-solid- shaped center portion and a mounting bolt 4 formed at one end of the center portion, securing one of brackets 5 to the bolt, and securing the beam 8 to the other bracket 5. |
