PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject molded product that can perform sustained- release of an effective amount of carbon dioxide under the food storage environment for a long period of time and is useful for prolongation of the freshness period by using a composition containing a specific resin and a carbon dioxide generator and forming the composition as its foaming is suppressed. SOLUTION: A composition comprising (A) an organic resin, for example, made of an olefin polymer, with a steam permeability of >=0.1 g.mm/m<2> .day at 40 deg.C and 90% RH and with a carbon dioxide permeability of >=100 cc.mm/ m<2> .atm.day at 25 deg.C and 0% RH and (B) a carbon dioxide generator as a bicarbonate or a combination of bicarbonate and an organic acid or citric mono- or diester is used and formed as its foaming is suppressed and the component B is activated by moisture. For example, this composition is formed by the thermal formation or casting into film or sheets. |
