PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curing chamber which is an energy conservation type chamber and capable of providing a hydraulic material with low water absorption properties and enhanced strength and also to provide a curing method using the curing camber. SOLUTION: This curing chamber is a closed chamber and covered with a heat-insulating system that is provided with a moistureproof material layer and/or a water-repellent material layer on the inside of the chamber, and also, provided with an evaporation surface of water or hot water inside the chamber, wherein the heat-insulating material of the heat-insulating system has a thickness sufficient to isolate the inside of the chamber from the outside air temp. This method comprises performing curing of controling water evaporation and/or supplying replenishing water for water shortage. Steam curing is executed in an enclosed state within the closed curing chamber which is covered with the thermally-conductive moistureproof material layer. In the curing chamber described above the curing is carried out by forming a synthetic resin emulsion or the like to form a coating film in an open surface, and carried out by closing up tight the open surface of a hydraulic material.
