METHOD FOR REGENERATING GLASS SUBSTRATE FOR COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate a glass substrate for a color filter by efficiently removing a color filter layer from the defective substrate of the color filter without corroding other material such as the glass substrate. SOLUTION: The defective substrate of the color filter is brought into contact with aq. alkali soln. so as not to corrode the glass substrate for the color filter and UV treatment and/or concd. sulfuric acid treatment is carried out. The color filter layer is removed from the defective substrate and the objective glass substrate for the color filter is regenerated.
