PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train information announcing method and a device therefor both for providing users with train passage information for their safety. SOLUTION: A portable train information annunciator stores train data in its electrically erasable programmable ROM(EEPROM) 27 and outputs the present time and date from its timer 22. The timer 22 interrupts a microprocessor unit(MPU) 20 at preset intervals by way of a timer interrupt line 43. On receiving such interrupts, the MPU 20 executes its interrupt handling routine. If the present time accords with any train departure time in the routine, the MPU 20 orders a buzzer to raise an alarm under the control of an alarm driver 28 and also a liquid crystal display part to display thereon the information to that effect by way of a display driver 23.
