PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an oxide powder excellent in homogeneity, crystallinity and uniformity of particle diameter, excellent also in particle shape and almost free from aggregates. SOLUTION: The aq. stock soln. contg. stock ions of the oxide powder is emulsified in combustible liq. to prepare emulsion 110, this emulsion 110 is sprayed in a mist form and the combustible liq. in the mist is burned to synthesize the objective particulate oxide powder. At the time of the burning, oxygen- contg. gas 66 for reaction is fed and gas 77 for expanding a flame is further fed from the outside of the gas 66.
