PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of meshing sound due to impact by setting a position where each tooth of n (integer of 2 or more) timing belts starts to mesh with a tooth groove of a drive pulley in such a way that it is deviated in the peripheral direction by 1/n of a pitch of a tooth of the drive pulley. SOLUTION: A drive pulley 1 which rotates in A direction and a follow-up pulley 2 which rotates in B direction have a tooth having a constant pitch on an outer peripheral face, respectively, and timing belts 3, 4 to be wound around them form teeth at a constant pitch on inner peripheral faces 5, 6 thereof. An idler pulley 7 is provided on the inner peripheral face 5 of the timing belt 3 in such a manner that it meshes with the teeth in a part immediately before it is wound around the drive pulley 1. Parts of both timing belts 3, 4 immediately before they are wound around the drive pulley 1 form an angleθ(θ>0) mutually, and a position where each tooth starts to mesh with a tooth groove of the drive pulley 1 is deviated. A deviation amount is set to 1/2 of a pitch of the tooth. Consequently, it is possible to effectively reduce the noise generated when each tooth meshes mutually.
