<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement a highly efficient dechlorination treatment while preventing the adhesion of a resin residue to the inner wall of a rotary kiln in the dechlorination treatment of chlorine-containing resins using the kiln. SOLUTION: In a dechlorination treatment method using an external heating type rotary kiln having a specified structure, a particulate solid heating medium is supplied with materials containing chlorine-containing resins into the kiln to treat the resins, the solid heating medium is supplied so as to satisty B<=4.5 when the average particle size ratio and the supply ratio between the materials and the heating medium are set A and B, respectively, and satisby the formula A>=0.29×e<0.60-> B, and further preferably so as to satisby B>=0.5 to effect dechlorination treatment of the material to be treated.</p> |
