PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject raw material rice capable of being cooked in a short time, providing a steady rice grain, and capable of providing a rice gruel or a porridge of rice and vegetables which have resistance to the tooth like the rice grain and moderate thick feeling by properly including a specific starch powder and a specified rice grain in a suitable ratio. SOLUTION: The objective raw material rice is obtained by including (A) starch powder obtained by making rice grains to fine grains and (B) the rice grains comprising pregelatinized rice grains subjected to a heat processing beforehand in a suitable ratio. The component A is preferably whether the component A obtained by grinding a polished rice or the one obtained by grinding a pregelatinized rice. The component B is the pregelatinized rice with a complete granular shape or the pregelatinized rice with a broken granular shape. The component B can be a polished rice or a brown rice. The raw material rice can be supplied by separating components A and B, or by uniting them by adhering the component A on the surface of the component B. |
