PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyethylene resin for containers and its composition, capable of carrying out thin-wall molding and high speed molding, excellent in printability and stress cracking resistance and suitable for uses of tube, bottle, etc. SOLUTION: This polyethylene resin for containers and its composition can be molded into a film or sheet having >=100 hr 50% crack-generating time (F50) [ASTM D 1698] which becomes index of resistance to stress cracking and not releasing a printed surface in squares test which is applied to film or sheet surface which is subjected to corona discharge treatment and printing. In this case, the polyethylene resin and its composition comprise straight-chain polyethylene having 2-3.5 molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) measured by GPC, and the straight chain-like polyethylene has 0.890-0.975 g/cm<3> density and <=2 wt.% n-decane-soluble component content. |
