<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a volume reducing apparatus by providing a heating means for melting waste plastic in a volume unit, and forming a net-like or fence-like shelf for dividing into upper and lower parts in the unit. SOLUTION: A waste plastic 10 such as plastic bottle or the like is introduced from an introducing hole 3 of a volume reducing apparatus 1, once held on a shelf 2 and heated. An overall surface of the plastic 10 is heated from above, below, right and left, and efficiently melted. The melted waste plastic 10 is dripped through the shelf 2, stored in a container 7 in a lower part of a volume unit 1, and solidified. Even if a cap 12 is attached to the bottle or the like, only the cap 12 is retained on the shelf 2 to prevent a foreign matter such as the cap 12 or the like from being mixed with the plastic 11 after melting. The plastic 10 can be volume reduced to facilitate its recovery transportation. And, a structure of the apparatus 1 is relatively simple and can be easily reduced in size.</p> |
