PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article of furniture whose frame can be transformed to be a sofa or a table which is useful mainly outdoors. SOLUTION: A frame part 1 of this transformable article of furniture consists of link plates 2, 3, a link bar 4, and a pin 5. The link bar 4 is clasped between the link plates 2 and 3 which are parallel to each other, and the pin 5 is pierced through the link plates 2, 3 and the link bar 4 to connect them all like a chain. The length of the pin 5 is at least twice of the total thickness of the two link plates 2, 3 and the link bar 4. A half of the pin 5 is a flat smooth part whose surface is flat, while the remaining half is formed as a tooth-shaped protrusion. Pin holes 5 are formed on the two link plates 2, 3 and the link bar 4, and a tooth groove to be engaged with the protrusion of the pin is formed on the inner wall of each pin hole 5. Panel pieces 11 are bridged between the link plates 2, 3 or the link bars 4 of right and left frame parts 1. |
